The Griffith University Masters Qualifying Program (MQP) provides you with an opportunity to upgrade your prior study to meet the academic requirements for direct admission to a Griffith University Masters program.

The MQP is delivered in full-time mode over one trimester and includes four courses. Upon successful completion, with a pass in each course and a program GPA of 4.0 (on a 7 point scale), you will be eligible to progress to a range of Griffith Business School Masters programs.

The MQP is a Griffith University program delivered by Griffith College on the Griffith University Mount Gravatt campus in Brisbane.

Credit towards your Masters

If you are successful in progressing to your Masters, you may receive advanced standing of 10 credit points for completion of the MQP course Managing Organisations.

Can I apply?

The MQP is available to international students only. An International student is a person who is not an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident or holder of an Australian Permanent Humanitarian visa.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for admission you must have:

  • a three year post-secondary (post-Australian Year 12 equivalent) qualification; OR,
  • a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university (or institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 7 point scale); AND
  • have a minimum IELTS (Academic) of 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5, OR equivalent.

Packaged offer and Masters pathway

At the point of application for the MQP, you will be assessed for admission to your preferred Masters program. If successful, you will receive a packaged offer for the MQP and the approved Masters program.

Masters entry is conditional upon achieving a GPA of 4.0 in the MQP and a pass in each course. Admission to some Masters programs also require an assessment of work experience and/or completion of a related Bachelor degree.
